Product Description

MOUNTING PRESS is a mechanical type machine. By turning the hand-wheel of the machine, a couple of bevelgear is rotated to drive the screw rod which in turn pushes/pulls the lower die up and down along the mould sleeve. The thermo set plastics together with specimen being mounted is formed under heated conditions. During this process the pressure is self adjusted by a spring fixed inside the machine. A Signal light is used to indicate the pressure level.

Non-slip rubber feet provide operational stability, and a straightforward manual lever ensures ease of use. Its maintenance-friendly design minimizes downtime, supporting seamless workflow in busy laboratories.

FAQ's of Metallurgical Mounting Press Hand Operated:

Q: How is the metallurgical specimen mounted using this hand-operated press?

A: The specimen is placed in the provided cavity (25 mm or 32 mm diameter), and the mounting compound is added. Using the ergonomic lever, manual pressure is applied, and the thermal-insulated chamber helps maintain safety during the process. The removable heat-resistant top cover allows easy access after mounting is complete.

Q: What are the main benefits of using this manual mounting press in a laboratory environment?

A: Key advantages include sturdy cast iron construction, operation without the need for electricity, compatibility with two common specimen sizes, minimal maintenance requirements, and user-friendly design. Its robust, non-slip base further enhances operational stability and safety.

Q: When is this mounting press most effectively used in the sample preparation process?

A: This press is most effectively used during the initial stage of sample preparation, specifically when preparing metallurgical specimens for microscopic examination. It enables consistent and safe mounting of single specimens per cycle.

Q: Where can this hand-operated mounting press be installed within a laboratory setting?

A: Designed as a compact tabletop unit (320 x 240 x 300 mm), the press can be positioned on any sturdy, level laboratory workbench or preparation table. Its non-slip rubber feet ensure stability wherever placed.

Q: What routine maintenance is necessary to keep the mounting press functioning optimally?

A: Maintenance is straightforward: periodic cleaning of the chamber and lever, as well as inspecting the non-slip rubber feet and insulation, will keep the press in reliable working order. Its design minimizes the need for complex upkeep.

Q: How can users ensure accurate and consistent mounting results with this press?

A: Accurate results depend on proper specimen positioning, even pressure application using the lever, and adherence to the instructions provided in the manual. The press's sturdy build supports reliable and repeatable sample mounting.

Q: What accessories are included with the equipment, and how do they assist in operation?

A: The mounting press comes with an instruction manual and mounting accessories, supplying users with detailed guidance and necessary tools to achieve optimal specimen mounting right out of the box.
